How New Hampshire geography shapes a group trip

The New Hampshire markets on this page span about 46 straight-line miles, with Nashua and Rochester at the two ends of a north-east run. Anything crossing most of that is planned around the chauffeur's duty day rather than around the group's wishlist.

Look at where our New Hampshire markets fall on a map and Concord is the knot: 9 other markets we cover are inside fifty miles of it. Density like that changes what an evening booking can include.

Across the 10 New Hampshire markets with a Census reference point, the combined land area is about 350 square miles of incorporated place.

We publish 10 New Hampshire markets on this hub, 10 of them with a Census reference point precise enough to measure distance from. Those coordinates are what the nearest-market distances on every city page are computed against, and they come from the 2024 Gazetteer rather than from us.

What distinguishes the New Hampshire markets we run

These are the New Hampshire cities where our own notes carry the most specific detail. Each line is what actually differs about the work there.

  • Manchester: requests here cluster around SNHU Arena, and pickups run heaviest in Downtown Manchester.
  • Portsmouth: requests here cluster around The Music Hall, and pickups run heaviest in Downtown Portsmouth.
  • Dover: airport work goes through MHT.
  • Nashua: airport work goes through MHT.
  • Concord: the Census places it at 64.0 square miles of land.
  • Derry: the Census places it at 35.5 square miles of land.
  • Londonderry: the Census places it at 42.0 square miles of land.
  • Merrimack: the Census places it at 32.6 square miles of land.

Airports we transfer from in New Hampshire

Airport work is quoted differently from an hourly charter: commercial-vehicle access fees, the staging area a coach has to use, and the wait window if a flight slips are all named separately on the total rather than folded into an hourly rate.

  • MHTNamed in our notes for Dover, Manchester, Nashua
  • PSMNamed in our notes for Portsmouth

What should a New Hampshire itinerary call out?

I-93 is the main north-south artery and becomes extremely congested on ski weekends and during fall foliage season. New Hampshire has no state income tax or sales tax, making its border liquor stores on I-93 a popular stop.

Mount Washington held the world record for the fastest wind speed ever recorded on the surface of the Earth — 231 mph in 1934 — for over 60 years.

When New Hampshire books up

The New Hampshire calendar runs hardest in Fall foliage (September–October) and ski season (December–March). If your date falls inside it, send the enquiry early: we would rather tell you in March what we can put on a June Saturday than tell you in May what we cannot. Rates here sit mid-range for us. The date does more to move a quote than the market does: a Saturday in the peak window and a Tuesday in the off-season are genuinely different jobs.

Weather and alcohol rules we plan around

Humid continental climate with warm summers averaging 80°F and cold, snowy winters around 15°F. The White Mountains receive heavy snowfall and can experience extreme wind chill. Fall foliage is spectacular from late September through mid-October.

Alcohol, open-container and service rules vary by county, and we plan the itinerary inside them. Ask us to spell out what applies to your run and we will put it in your contract. New Hampshire has state-run liquor stores located on interstate highways that are famously tax-free (no sales tax). These stores attract visitors from neighboring states. Bars serve until 1 AM. Party buses may serve alcohol with proper licensing.
