METHODOLOGY
How our customer-data insights are made
How are the insights on this site calculated?
We count and summarize anonymous inquiry records in bulk β a record is a request for a quote, not a booking or a review β and publish only patterns that clear a minimum sample size, rounded and labelled with what they measure. Nothing about any individual customer is used or shown: the calculations run as aggregate queries that never return a customer row, and no name, address, phone number or payment detail reaches the people or tools that write these pages. Every figure states the period it covers and the geography it describes, and each one is recomputed or removed when it expires.

| Rule | Threshold | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum sample | 25 qualifying records | Below that the figure is not published at all. Narrow cuts β one group-size band combined with one duration band β need 30 or more. |
| Small sub-groups | Fewer than 10 records | Withheld entirely, along with whatever complementary figure would let it be reconstructed by subtraction. |
| Percentages | Fewer than 200 records | Rounded to the nearest 5 points. At 200 records or more, rounded to whole numbers. |
| Dollar figures | Nearest $25 | Shown as medians and middle-half ranges of past quotes, never as exact averages and never as a current price. |
| Record counts | Never exact | Described in bands, such as "more than 1,000", rather than published as a precise count. |
| Geography | All markets combined by default | A figure is labelled with a city only when that city's own cohort clears the 25-record floor; 77 cities do today. |
What is the data?
The figures labelled "From our inquiry data" come from inquiry records our reservation team has handled across the group-transportation websites it supports, mid-2023 through summer 2026. A record is a request for a quote or information. It is not a booking, a completed trip, or a review. Where a figure is based on quotes, it is labelled "historical quotes" and describes what was quoted in the past across many markets, never a current price.
What do we never use or publish?
No names, phone numbers, email addresses, pickup or drop-off addresses, payment details, reservation numbers, notes, emails, chat or call transcripts, recordings, or any individual record are used in these insights or shared with the people or tools that write our pages. Calculations run as aggregate database queries that never return a customer row.
What are the sample-size and rounding rules?
We publish a figure only when at least 25 qualifying records support it (30 or more for narrow cuts such as one group-size band combined with one duration band). Where a sub-group falls below 10 records we withhold it entirely, and we withhold whatever complementary figure would allow it to be reconstructed by subtraction. Percentages are rounded to whole numbers, or to the nearest 5 points when fewer than 200 records are involved. Dollar figures are rounded to the nearest $25 and shown as medians and middle-half ranges, not exact averages. Exact record counts are described in bands ("more than 1,000") rather than published.
What geography does a figure cover?
Every insight states its scope. Figures labelled "all markets combined" pool requests from many cities and states and are never presented as if they described one place. Since October 2026, 77 cities whose own inquiry cohort reaches at least 25 records carry a city-specific block ("What {City} groups ask us for"); those figures are computed from that city's requests alone and say so.
What records are excluded?
Spam records are excluded. Group sizes outside 1β60, requested durations outside 1β24 hours, quotes outside $100β$20,000, and event dates more than 30 days before or 730 days after the inquiry are treated as data-entry errors and left out of the relevant calculation. Event and vehicle labels are normalized with a written mapping; ambiguous labels (for example "bachelor(ette)") are kept as their own category rather than split by assumption.
What does a figure meanβand not mean?
A median group size tells you what planners typically asked for, not what a vehicle holds or what a company has available. A lead-time figure tells you when inquiries arrived, not when reservations were signed. A historical quote range tells you what was quoted in the past for similar requests across many markets; your written quote for your date, itinerary, and vehicle is the only price that applies to your trip.
When are insights reviewed?
Insights were last reviewed on 2026-09-04 and carry an expiry after which they are recomputed or removed. Each published insight has an internal provenance record listing its source fields, cohort definition, calculation, exclusions, sample size, and privacy check.
